ガラス作家、有永浩太さんの工房は石川県能登島の高台にあります。遮りたくなるような音はなく、シンとした空間に、樹々を抜けた海風が流れてきます。それは心地よい格別の場所。
The studio of glass artist Kota Arinaga is located on a hillside of Notojima, Ishikawa Prefecture. In a peaceful silence, a sea breeze flows through the trees. It is a truly unique and pleasant place.
ヴェネチアングラスをもとに、独自の技法で紡がれる孤高の作品たち。溶解と結合が繰り返され、幾重にも重なる世界には必然と偶然が存在します。

黙々と孤独を楽しむように、有永さんの身体はリズムを刻み、彼の手の中にあるガラスはどんどん形を変えていきます。いのちを吹き込まれるかのように。

震災の傷癒えぬ能登島。自然の脅威に晒されてもなお、そこにある自然、重力、空気が彼の作品の力となっています。
