九谷焼、柴田有希佳さん。

植物の成長から朽ちるまでをあらゆる方向からデッサンし、その植物の秘めた瞬間的な形や色を記録として残していく。美しく咲く花の瞬間だけでなく、芽吹の弱々しさ、あるいは強い生命力、花が終わり朽ちる瞬間や哀れにも捉えられる瞬間まで。

Yukika Shibata captures the life cycle of plants, from growth to decay, in meticulous detail. Her drawings record fleeting moments of form and color, from the delicate beauty of a blossoming flower, the fragility of a new bud, the vibrant vitality of life, and the beauty of decay.

そして、虫に食べられた葉や、曲がった茎までも有希佳さんはデッサンをしていきます。

虫や魚も生きたものを観察し、羽の色や柔らかさ、尾びれの流れ、水の流れ・・・

そのデッサンの数は数え切れず、ノートは何冊にも及びます。

Her  drawings also include leaves eaten by insects and bent stems. She observes living creatures such as insects and fish, capturing the colors and softness of their wings, the flow of their tails, and the movement of water. Her notebooks are filled with countless drawings.

有希佳さんの作品には朽ちかけた草花や、虫食いの葉が描かれています。

それは完璧に咲いた花よりも、真っ直ぐに伸びた茎よりも、強い生命力や美しさを感じることができます。

In Yukika’s works, we find withered flowers and leaves marked by insect bites. From these imperfect forms, we feel a strong sense of life and beauty that surpasses the perfection of a fully bloomed flower or a perfectly straight stem.
