赤絵細描とは、極細の筆を使い、弁柄（べんがら）といわれる鉄分を含んだ赤い顔料で描かれる。それは、髪の毛ほどの細かい線の文様の連なりから構成され、超絶技法である。
また、九谷焼三大技法の一つでもある。
Akaesaibyou is a method of painting using ultra-fine brushes and a red pigment called bengara that contains iron. It is composed of fine lines thinner than a hair and is known to be a virtuosic technique.
It is also known to be one of 3 major Kutani techniques.
架谷庸子さんは、赤絵細描の第一人者であり世界的にも評価の高い「福島武山」に師事。福島武山一門として注目を集めている。
作品は、伝統的でありながらもモダンで、現代建築や様式にも合わせやすい。生まれ持った素質と努力の賜物から生み出される繊細で美しい作品たちは、伝統を継承するとともに新しい世界へ羽ばたいていくことでしょう。
Yoko Hasatani studied under Fukushima Buzan, a leading expert in red-painting drawings and highly acclaimed artist. She is attracting attention as a member of the Fukushima Buzan family. Her work is traditional yet modern and easily adapts to contemporary architecture and styles. The delicate and beautiful works created from innate talent and hard work will continue to keep alive tradition while soaring through the modern world.
ヘミングアーツにて架谷庸子さんの初個展となります。この時を私自身とても楽しみに待っておりました。赤絵細描の超絶技法の繊細さ、美しさ、そして貴重な作品たちをこうして皆様にご紹介できることに、架谷庸子さんをはじめ、皆様に感謝申し上げます。
This will be Yoko Hasatani’s first exhibition at HemingArts. I have longingly waited for this moment. I would like to thank Yoko Hasatani and all of you for giving me the chance to introduce the delicate virtuosic technique of Akaesaibyou.
