白い結晶質の釉薬で焼成した器に、色漆で彩りを重ね、自然の中にある無数のグラデーションを、日々手にする器へ投影したい。
そんな想いから、根石和美の作品は生まれています。
そして、色の濃淡は音色のように、その響きが、ゆっくりと心に届いていくように。
These works by Kazumi Neishi were born from a desire to bring the countless gradations found in nature into the vessels we use everyday. Each piece is fired with a white, crystalline glaze and layered with colored urushi lacquer, creating delicate depths and variations of color. Within these subtle shifts in tone lies a melody, much like the nuances of a musical composition. A resonance that slowly finds its way into the heart.
書道と友禅を学んだ経験を経て、漆の新たな表現を探求してきた根石和美。
太古より続く技法を源流としながら、静かに現代へと息づく器たち。
After studying calligraphy and Yuzen dyeing, Kazumi Neishi has continued to explore new forms of expression through urushi lacquer. Rooted in a technique that has been passed down since ancient times, these vessels quietly breathe new life into the present.
