ようこそ、赤絵細描の世界へ。
白磁に降り注ぐ繊細な赤の線と点。それが幾重にも重なり、描き出される美しく緻密な文様。
一本一本の線は髪の毛よりも細く、ただ一色であるはずの赤は、濃淡で表情を変えていく。
江戸時代から続く超絶技巧に、誰もが息を呑み、没頭し、感嘆する。
Welcome to the world of Akae-saibyo, literally meaning “fine red painting”.
Delicate red lines and dots cascade across white porcelain, and layer upon layer, they come together to form intricate and beautiful patterns. Each line is finer than a strand of hair, and the single red pigment reveals expressions through variations in density.
This extraordinary technique, passed down since the Edo period, captivates all who encounter it, inspiring awe, fascination, and admiration.
赤絵細描の名手、福島武山氏の弟子として研鑽を積み、赤絵を次代へと繋いでいく。
彼女の作品の特徴は、伝統的な文様の中に織り交ぜられるモダンなモチーフと色彩。そして女性ならではのやわらかさ。
確かな技術の元に吹き込まれる新しい風は、若手作家の中でも一歩先へと、彼女の歩みを押し進める。
Having honed her craft under the guidance of Buzan Fukushima, the master of Akae-saibyo, Youko Hasatani continues the tradition while carrying it into the future.
Her work integrates modern motifs and colors within traditional decorative patterns, as well as the gentleness uniquely her own. Supported by impeccable technical skill, the fresh perspective she brings to this art form sets her apart among the new generation of ceramic artists.
