木、紙、布といった素材の上に漆を塗り重ねて作られる漆器。様々な素材と漆を組み合わせることで、その形、テクスチャー、色は多様な方向へ広がっていきます。しっかりと伝統を学んだ上に紡がれていく名雪さんの世界は自由でモダン。
Bringing traditional crafts into a freer, more modern world.
Lacquerware is created by applying layers of lacquer onto materials such as wood, paper, and fabric. By combining lacquer with different materials, its forms, textures, and colors expand in endless directions. The world that Ms. Nayuki creates, grounded in deep knowledge of tradition, is free and modern.
そしてそこに描かれるモチーフはどれもポップで面白く、名雪さんならではのものばかり。色使いも秀逸。従来の漆のイメージが鮮やかに変わります。
Her work ranges widely. She creates not only wall pieces and art objects, but also everyday items such as plates, chopsticks, and cups. The motifs she paints are playful, unique, and unmistakably her own, with exceptional use of color. Her work transforms the conventional image of lacquer into something vivid and fresh.
特筆すべきことは、その質感と使い心地の良さ。
滑らかな表面は言わずもがな美しく、触り心地、口触りの良さは驚くほど素晴らしい。
そして手にした時の軽さは、陶器と一線を画します。
What deserves special mention is the texture and comfort of use.
The smooth surface is of course beautiful, and the tactile sensation and mouthfeel are wonderfully surprising. The lightweight feel in the hand is completely different from that of ceramics.
