一枚のお洋服をひとりで黙々と作り上げるデザイナーの真由美さん。
作り上げられたお洋服は、とても心地よく美しい。
真由美さんは、お洋服を一人で作成しています。デザインから始まり、パターンを作成し、生地を選び裁断し、ミシンと手で縫製していく。
ここまでの技術をほぼ独学で培ってきた真由美さん。黙々と着実に、良いものを作ることを一歩一歩。その懸命さと真面目さは、そのまま作品に現れています。
Designer Mayumi meticulously creates each of her dresses.
The clothes she makes are very comfortable and lovely.
Mayumi makes her clothes by herself. She first designs the clothes, then she cuts the patterns, and finally chooses the materials. Each clothes are put together by hand and sewing machine.
Mayumi has self-taught all the skills required to complete these processes. Each step is completed with care resulting in a lovely outfit. Her diligence and effort can be felt in each of her clothing.
真由美さんが作る服を身につけると、包まれるような不思議な感覚と、安心感と、背伸びすることなく自分らしく、そのままの美しい形の自然体でいられる。そして、気持ちも穏やかに優しくなれるような。
きっとそれは、作り手の真由美さんが、身につける人を思いひとつひとつ作り上げているからこそだと考えます。
昔、私たちが幼かった頃、母に作ってもらったワンピースが着やすかったり、アップリケや刺繍が愛おしかったり、自分のために作ってもらったというその感覚は大人になっても嬉しく、大切に長く着たいと思わせてくれるのではないでしょうか。

It’s probably because Mayumi makes each clothes imagining you wearing them.
